BIBLE: Is Authoritative Pt. 2

Psalm 119:97 |
Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long.

Psalm 119:105-106 | Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations.

Psalm 119:111-112 | Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight. I am determined to keep your decrees to the very end.

  1. Psalm 119 calls God’s Word a lamp to guide your feet. How does the Bible guide your everyday choices?
    • If it doesn’t, are you truly a follower of God?
    • What things get in the way of following the Bible for your every day choices?
  2. Psalm 119 calls God’s Word a light for your path. How does the Bible guide your future choices (like your college, job, spouse, family, where you live, etc.)?
    • What other things try to guide your future choices?
  3. Have you ever promised God that you would obey His Word?
    • If so, when and how has that promise gone?
    • If not, why? Would you consider making that promise now?
    • What steps do you take to make sure you obey God’s instructions?
  4. How determined are you to live a life that lines up with the Bible?
  5. Do you find God’s instructions a delight or a burden? Why?
